Hi all this is my first review and as some of you know my english sucks, and my writing skills arent much better.

I spoke to Eric about getting a knife sheath made to replace my old leatherman PST leather sheath. And he agreed to make me one. It arived today and upon opening the package I was shocke at how lightweight and well made it was. I am new to the world of thermo plastics, ie kydex, concealex, etc... but right away I fell in love with its feel and teaxture. The sheath is roughly an inch and a half wide a half inch thick and two and a hlaf inches long. The leatherman stays in place via the screws that hold the tool together.

The sheath is made to be worn as a neck knife. And with a length of para cord it rests very nicely on my chest. The knife is easliy drawn with a snap downward. I havent really had much of a chance to rough and tough test the sheath but that will come when I go back to work on the farm in late april.

Like I said I am new to the reviewing thing so if any of you have any question just ask, and I will do my best to answer them.

I can say without a doubt that this is one tough little sheath. It looks very nice. I will try to find different ways to carry the knife with this sheath and post as I come up with more.

Thanks Eric.
Geoff.

I've got two coming from Eric. One is for a Livesay Company knife, and the other is for a Dozier Pro-Guide. I'm glad to hear that yours turned out well; I'm sure mine will too. I was a little reluctant to send my babies to a foreign country and all, but Eric's professionalism and personality that I experienced via email with him alleviated most of my fears.

I'm really looking forward to receiving mine, and if they turn out as well as I think they will, we've got a new sheathmaking contender on the block!

I'll report back when mine get here; should be in the next three days. Professor.

The package in question arrived about ten minutes after my last post here...

The sheaths are outstanding. I wish I could post pictures, but posting words is about as technologically inclined as I get.

My two D2 beauties, the Livesay Company Knife and Dozier ProGuide, fit very snugly into the sheaths; inverted or horizontal or whatever-type carry wouldn't be a problem with these sheaths.

Both sheaths are foldover-concealex type, much like the kydex sheath that used to com with the BM Nimravus. I prefer this style to the pancake type since they're more compact and nicer-looking IMHO. The belt clips can be unscrewed and reversed to the right side so that IWB carry is possible. The smaller Dozier sheath's clip can be attached so that horizontal carry is possible.

There are drainholes at the tip of both sheaths, and the fit and finish is astounding. This blows away the mass-produced stock concealex sheaths that come standard with many production fixed-blades these days. They are even finer fit-and-finished and far more practical (and more importantly more versatile) than the custom sheaths that came with these two custom knives.

You can tell that Eric has been practicing at this for a good while. I am thoroughly impressed with his work and would recommend him highly to anyone considering a new or alternate concealex sheath for their fixed blades. If you can stomach the thought of sending your fine knives to a different country, it's well worth it. Turn around time was better than most domestic makers' I've experienced.

Of course field testing will be the overall determinate of true quality; I'll post in the Review forum once I've had a chance to run them through their paces.

Thanks for everything Eric, and I'll be in touch regarding the Pacific Cutlery Samson Boot Knife sheath.

Professor.

Nice review, Prof. I have 2 of my D2 babies visiting Eric myself. Your review has just turned up my anticipation level a couple of notches.

I've got some sheaths for the Fallkniven WM coming, and now I'm more impatient than ever -- can't wait, Eric.

Let me add my endorsement for Eric's sheathes. Got mine for a Fallkniven F1 last week and absolutely love it. Well made with a variety of carry options possible. It is much better than the kydex available from through Fallkniven. Next on my list is a WM1 and my first e-mail will be to Eric.
