So it finally arrived. And have exceeded all expectations. (by me.)

It arrived in Busse's usual box, but there was something that I haven't seen before. My mistress in fishnet stocking? Hmm....

So I slowly took it off, revealing her smooth...

Blade! It's ever so shiny. And I slowly squeezed her...

Handle! Handshaped black G10 and it feels good in my hand. Whoever sanded the handle, I want to thank you. It's somewhat between Mag and standard, and fits my hand perfectly.

This is my first satin NMFBM experience, as I've only had CGs in the past. They were all good companions, but this one...
When I first held it, I immediately flashed on what Jankerson has said before, that CG and satin blade feels like completely different knives. I think I know what that means now. I mean the overall feel is similar, but when you move the blade, it resist less. It simply moves with your hand. But then again, it could be just what I am feeling. Who knows.

Only thing to complain, and it's minor point, is that whoever ground the blade must've dozed off for a second.

Under normal lighting condition, it's not all that noticeable, but still is a bit annoying. It's not a cheap piece of blade, and you sort of expect it to be in prestine condition. But any mistress must have her secrets and faults, and a bit of imperfection as well.

So there it is. My first naked mistress. She's asleep now, after a long session of fondling and groping. But soon, she will unleash her fury upon unsuspecting lot of firewoods. I fully expect total annihilation.

Good photos. Congratulations, HISknife, on an awesome Mistress !

I can't tell from the pics but looking at it in person, do you think it might be possible for you to be able to buff that spot out with some good polish?

Way to start at the top of the food chain,
You will have to go custom shop to top that baby!:D:thumbup:

I would use it and get it all scuffed up and then send it back to the shop to clean it up.

They will fix that little spot no problem.

Lovely choice for sure!

You get spots like that from the knife touching the belt and the belt touching the platten or one of the wheels .... they are called "chatter marks" as you hear the blade "clatter" or "vibrate" when it happens .... I place a leather hide strip on my platten to avoid them if I am polishing up a combat grade which I have stripped to a "ghetto satin" .... they will come out with a number of methods ...

The easiest way is a linishing belt on a belt sander .... i.e. a very fine polishing grit ... that will take it away in a 1 second touch up of the blade to the relevant area ...

If by hand .... get some very high grit wet and dry ... usually 1000 or 1200 and move the paper from the spine down to the edge ... following the marks created by the belt when the blade was ground and satin finished ... always use a wooden square to wrap the paper round so the marks you create by sanding are uniform and in a straight line .... it will slowly blend in and then do one stroke maybe two with a 600 grit piece of wet and dry as this is the finish for Busse Satin as the higher grits will be giving a slighter mirror finish but are safer to work with ... use some Flitz metal polish on the same area to blend it in and it is impossible to tell it was there ... especially if you polish from the spine down to the edge in the same direction as the grind lines ....

However if this one is brand new and unused you can simply contact Amy or Lexi and send it in if you are'nt going to use it and want to keep it pristine as a collector ... other wise if you are going to use it .... learning how to hand restore the satin is a useful tip ... I do mine every once in a while after they catch a few scratches from things like small bits of grit in the sheath or kydex scratches .... makes you feel like you can use them and have the best of both worlds on the asthetics ....

Amazing - I just posted in the General forum asking how to re-finish my satin blade and got nothing other than "scotch brite"...

Thank you for this detailed step-by-step how-to on fixing a satin finished blade! I love my Boss Jack Satin Proto, but it has become all scratched-up from my kydex sheath.

I'm going to follow this to the letter and see if I can get it's beautiful finish back. Then, I'm going to pitch the kydex and get a leather sheath for it...

Thanks again!

If she's to be a pristine safe queen, I'd send her back to Garth. I'm not as enamoured with the Nuclear Meltdown blades as others--I should have invested in more than one.

Great knife! Congrats, that's not an LE, but it is a rare satin beauty

If the scratches are deep and run the length of the blade .... don't be afraid of using more 600 grit strokes once you have the hang of doing it .... it will be quicker and some scratches need a heavier grit to do the job ....

Thanks for pointing that out. I always thought the satin blade version was called LE, but apparently I have been misinformed.
It's still a beauty and soon to be a working girl, so doesn't matter.

Thank you for the info. If I have the chance, I will definitely refer to your suggestion.

What you have is much more rare than the LE - If I recall correctly, there were only about 20 of these made - maybe less than that

I love the Black and Satin NMFBM - probably my favorite

I'm a newbie to Busse. Haven't yet purchased one. So, did you buy this from Busse or are these only available second hand now? I do like the big ones though!:D

If you're male you should be careful with those comments around here :D

To purchase that knife will now cost you your first born or a stack of gold - they can't be ordered

PM Me if you have some gold
