I'm surprised how heavy it is.

Nice.... I got my mine in the early 70's. It's in my suitcase every trip we take.

I especially loved it for trout fishing.....

Congrats...

A 1985 issue. Very handy knife. I've carried and used one of the regular production knives for years on a wide variety of tasks.

Welcome to the addiction.

yes, or you can place your finger there to guide the blade. With practice, the many different grip styles become more apparent. That is called a safe choil, the unsharpened part of the lower blade in front of the handle.

"Safe choil" is a new one to me. Thanks for continuing to share all that knowledge I don't know.

In 2005 a friend phone from the U.S. to tell me, he had found a new unpacked Schrade Anniversary Display.
The Display came with six of each knife, as stock. Each box has a price sticker on them.

Then came the bad news; he said there is no Sharpfinger, and I will have to find one for the Display.
That is how I got my first Sharpfinger, it was not a late production one, and came in a brown box with a white sleave.

Because I put this knife into the Display, this is the only photo I have, of my first Sharpfinger.

You really, really need to find a 152OTS dual shield issue for that display. A very nice display though. I have some of the knives, but only the header board from the display.

I will gladly put the 152OTDS in the display as soon as it arrives. My birthday is two days before Christmas. A two-fer gift. Plenty of time to get it here. Thanks!
