I got a large classsic 2000 for my first Seb, and I'm glad I did. The large is a good sized knife, but the shape lets you do smaller detail work without a hassle. Unlike a lot of other large knives, you can actually carry a large Seb without the need for a second small knife.
This is my first seb and I have to agree with everyone that this is a great folder for a production knife. I want to thank Larry at Bladeart.com for all the assistance he offered.

Welcome to Sebbie Land Investigator.............there is no turning back!

You not only picked a good first Sebbie ( large Classics are my favorite:D ) but you picked an even greater guy to deal with!!:D :D
Larry will go out of his way to make sure you are happy and satisfied.

Thank you Art for the support, and you are right about no turning back! I have spent many hours researching this knife before I finally decided to buy it. I also purchased a MOD CQD at the beginning of this month and the knife is already back to MOD for service due to the vertical blade play! I should have gotten into this forum a lot earlier before I make any purchase because I really learn a lot from all of you. I do have a lot of experience in Martial Arts and LE work but when it comes to the knife field I have to learn from all of you out there.
My next project might be the Strider AR or GB, but first I have to get the OK from my better half, you know what I mean! :D :D

Hey! I'm expecting my first Sebenza too!

I'm wondering though, where can I find a nice leather sheath for it? I don't want to just carry it inside my pocket and I think it would appropriate to protect it in a classy leather. What do you think?

HAHA I'm also waiting on my first Sebenza. A small classic in BG42. It's killing me waiting for it but it should be here any day now:mad:

Did you clean and oil it yet? That's when
you really fall in love!!

No, I have not taken it apart yet. The knife came very smooth in opening mode but at first the closing was kind of tough with the integral lock. After I play with it for 2-3 hours it loosen up a little and I consider that perfect. IMO I really do not want the lock to be too easy to push away. When I need it in action it's the opening speed that count!
I am looking at several options in carrying this baby. I tried it at work carrying in my front right pocket and the knife sat very well and deep so that no one actually noticed the knife at all. I believe CRK also have a leather pouch they made for the Sebanza but kydex sheath also sound good. I am going to ask my friend to see if he can make a cowhide sheath for this knife, kydex might sratch up the finish a bit eventhough it is light and durable. Leather looks and feels better and it does give the knife a classy look.
Is this knife hard to take apart or put back together? I am very bad in reassemble things, please give me some simple and useful tips to follow. Much appreciated.

 Thank you for that wonderful info, I have copied the whole thing and made copies and put it with the Sebanza! Those are excellent instructions and advises directly from CRK. I have to say again that I regretted not buying this knife any sooner and with the money I spent on all other knives I could have myself several different Sebbies!
I repect all other knifemakers and styles of knives but the Sebbie is definitely a knife that can stand on it's own, with the great customer support it makes the knife that much better than the others!
Thank you to CRK!

The pancake style sheath offered by CRK is quite nice and is made by a reputable leather maker, just can't recall the name right now. This comes in brown and black. The slots are not for a belt with a widthe of 1.75" or greater though and my belts are in that range. Gary Graley, aka G2 makes a very, very nice sheath in a lot of different styles although i don't know if he has started back up yet. Do a search on sheaths in the forum and you should come up with a few more options. I just carry mine in myright front pocket and have had great luck with it this way.

Thank you Art, I will look into that. Meanwhile I am also checking with my friend to see what he can make for the Sebbie. If it looks good I will post it on here to share with you all. He did one for my CQD, the sheath is make with Thick Cowhide in the back and thinner one to form fit with the knife. Then he plcaed metal rivets around the edges( leather cement glue first) and the sheath looks beautiful. The problem is my CQD is back with MOD for service!
