I was showing my father the CR website a month or two ago and commenting on these amazing knives. Nothing more then showing him how beautiful and well made they are.

Fast forward to my birthday party this weekend. My gift is an extremely light gift bag and inside was this:

Needless to say I was pretty shocked.

That he did. There's a real CR fan who works behind the counter there and he really talked him up. I'll bet there is a CR in my dad's future too.

Your Dad rocks!

Something to consider... You could get a replacement CRK front slab or have our own BarryH make you a G10 or carbon fiber slab so that you can keep your rising sun graphic slab minty and edc your new knife. Just a thought.

Congratulations on a fine gift!

I didn't know that, I might just have to do so.

I agree it will be treasured, so very sentimental, congrats and happy belated birthday!

Thank you all for the welcome and well wishes.

My father's 70th birthday is in August and what he doesn't know is I have ordered (in Feb) a custom 27" 70+oz Himalayan Imports Kukri with a carved handle and embellished leather sheath. I have a bunch of HI blades and he told me he'd like one, so I'm buying him the most outragous one I could think of. Kind of like how a sword is presented to a king.
