My first Sebenza...I think I'm hooked on CRK now

After many many years of buying and carrying less expensive (even some cheap garbage) and mid range knives I decided to take the plunge on a sebenza.
All I can say is...what the hell have I been waiting for?!?
I love this knife. I think I'm spoiled now. I have plenty of other good, some very good knives that may never get carried again.
I bought a used small sebbie off another forum for $190. It has a good deal of scuffs on the scales but that's OK with me. Saves me the heartache of putting the first scratch on it.
The price always kept me away from CRK. I use my knives hard and have lost more than a few so I couldn't justify spending the $.
Well those days are over. A spending I will go. I'm so impressed with my sebenza (I got it 2 days ago) that I just order an Umnumzaan today.
I see many more CRK in my future

if you want you could always send it for a spa treatment and you would have a brand new knife. Just an option, although I do like the look of a well used knife atleast you will really appreciate the knife for how it works.
 
Once you get the new knife, send in your benza to the Spa. It will come back "new". Then beat the crap out of it so you know that all the marks there are done by YOU! :thumbup:
 
Oh, and I totally know how you feel.

I just bought a Spyderco Leafstorm (great little knife) as a replacement for the benza, but after 2 weeks of carry, I could only say how I wish it was as smooth as the benza, as solid as the benza etc etc...Well, now the leafstorm is sitting on my dresser..

CRK has set the bar on my knives and I will settle for nothing less. :D Now my wallet looks like this :rolleyes:....
 
Welcome to the CRK Family. I started out with 1, now I have 27 and counting.......lol. At $190, you got the deal of the year I think. The sebenzas are awsome knives and built like a tank. It surely will last you a lifetime. I wanna get a umnumzaan. As soon as funds allow, I am going to have one. I EDC a large regular sebbie and use it for everything. Enjoy It ! Let us know what you think of it after using it for a bit !!!

Your Classic looks just lime my large and small classic...... lots of beautiful scuffs from being used! No need to send it in for spa treatment when they look so good.
 
Very cool that you're so impressed with an abviously used one, and that's a hell of a price. You'll be blown away by the Umnumzaan. Pay special attention to the differences in design. Then later get a large Regular Seb if you can find one. It's the best Seb.
 
Welcome to the pack! I know the feeling of the Gold Member with the impossible name :D about the diff between a Seb and a Spydie. I actually made the "mistake" of getting myself a Lum Chinese (got a good deal and I really like the shape, it feels great too) after I got the Seb. I spent hours "upgrading" the Lum by removing sharp edges, rough details, and improving the greasing on the pivot. That improved it a lot but it's still money down the drain, which I could have saved up for a Mnandi... :grumpy: ;)
