Well, after about 4 years collecting knives I finally bought a large Classic Sebenza with leather inlay. I should have it in a few days and now I feel like a 4 year old kid waiting for Christmas.

Congratulations on the new knife. Let us know what you think about it. I'm curious to find out whether you think it lives up to the reputation.

Hey, let me know too! I have wondered for awhile about one. Paul

I will let you know my impressions. Got it on ebay. I always liked the somewhat sculptured look of the classic Sebenza and I just went crazy for the NIB one with the leather inlay.

I saw that one on Ebay. I came pretty close to bidding against you. You got a heck of a deal. Enjoy :)

Hey Jay
I'm in the same boat. Just traded for a flat ground signed Large Regular Sebenza. It'll be my first one. I had my best edc a Crawford KFF, just a tad to big. It'll be interesting to see if the sebrenza will finally be that elusive edc. If not it'll go up to trade for a KFF. Man that Crawford was smooth:)

It's kind of funny -- I'll bet a LOT of us are waiting for one special treat knife or another to arrive by mail order. :p
With every "congratulations," there seems to be "and I can't wait to get my xxxx." :p

I hope you enjoy your Sebenza.

I think you will like your purchase Jay. The Classic is the one that I like best due to the handle design and I also like the pointier blade better. Be sure to let us know what you think about it!

All the way back on 2/7 I won an auction for a NIB Large Classic Sebenza with dark brown leather inserts. Actually got a great price on it. I just received it on 3/10. It certainly took long enough, but at least I now have it.

This is my first Sebenza and I must say that the craftsmanship is really superb. There is truly nothing on this knife that seems second rate.

I especially like the fact that it looks rather unimposing and will be a great full sized folder to carry when you need something "sheeple" friendly.

I cannot comment on the knifes toughness yet, as I have yet to use it. Suggested retail is about $415.00. As mentioned, I got this one for far less, so I feel it was money well spent. However, I doubt if I would have spent $415.00 for it.

Use it and enjoy it, Jay!:) Let us know your reactions after you've had it for a while. I think you'll be very impressed with the quality and overall usefulness of the knife.;)
