Bought a desert ironwood lg sebbie. When I first opened it up I loved the look fit and fin but it kinda stopped there. I was thinkin that maybe I spent $600 on a knife that wasnt gonna impress me that much. Ive been carrying it for about 3mnths (daily) now and I have to admit that I love it more by the min. Its truly the pride of my knife collection by a LARGE margin. Like everything I read. Solid, simple, beautiful blah blah blah. You guys know all about it. I actually havent bought a folder since and Im a steel junkie now. (started off a gun nut) Ive looked at many but they feel like crap compared to my seb. I started out buying crk one piece knives and Im glad cause if I had started w folders I honestly think Id be selling them off. The only complaint I had was the gold started wearing off the thumb lug within the first week. Crk said theyd gladly replace w silver if I wanted but nah. Shes a working knife so whatever. I promised myself theres no way Im spending that amount on a knife and making it a safe queen. Anyone that says that sebs or any other crk product is overpriced or hyped doesnt own one. IMHO. I love all my crk's and plan to keep on adding to the collection.

Congrats on your purchase, I am new to knife collecting as well and I completely agree with you "To own one is to appreciate one" They just ooze quality.

I feel the same way about the Wilson Combat/CRK Umnamzaan, the Star-Tac. Bought it, was not impressed, carry it and compare it to all my benchmades, and really like it now!

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I sure hope we can get a few more larger distributors of crk in canada. The prices I think are reasonable for crks but we have to put shipping and duty on them and thats usually a $100 extra touch added on so it slows a guy down a bit. Nevermind the exchange we northerners have to think about. Thank god for a high dollar now but when it drops (always does eventually) it puts them a bit outa reach. If your reading this Chris, come on up to canada (preferably calgary) and start a distribution center. We're big fans! I even know a good guy to show you and your people around. Wink wink

Have you discovered TNK yet? They're in Canada:

yeah I bought a crk from them already. another company to boost selection and avaliability would be great though.

Neil Ostroff, the purveyor of TNK, is hard to beat for getting good custom and semi-custom knives in this country without having to deal with those insufferable border people. Two of my three CRKs I got from him, and I plan to do business with him again.
