I think they turned out well liners and all....

Just some left over Box Elder Burl and g-10 the local knife shop had. I know they are not matching cut slabs, but it was my first shot. The could have ended up in the trash from the knife shop or after I screwed up. Luckily my patience held.

looks pretty good! better than my 1st attempt for sure. lol, of course my attempt was a BM 580 (axis was tough). I like how you just kept it simple. Really goes well with the knife.
 
Yeah, I own a few axis locks. Simple is good for the first attempt. I did have to scrap the first liner. It was the only mistake I could afford since I only had enough material for 3 liners and 2 scales. Thank you for the kind comments. I may try an axis lock later...
 
Thanks! I was wondering exactly how to finish it off right up the point of doing it. All hand sanding and polishing.
 
It's a Lionsteel Opera in D2 steel. Local knife shops had it. I never really cared for traditional lock backs but his one the the hand really well and is super solid. Likely a gift of my wife. If she is good...
