Made a couple knives and had a nice gentleman order four and asked me if I could do a sheath for them as well, and thanks to all the wonderful posts on here I tried to learn a bit and came up with this.

You did a really nice job on the molding of the leather. Stitching is nice and uniform also. A little wavy, but okay, it proves its hand made.

Thanks for the nice comments! I do have a question, the leather is very stiff after it dried, I used caranuba cream on it today, still seems too stiff. Any reccomendations on what to use to soften it up a bit? Thanks. Craig.

You can try some neatsfoot oil (but not too much). Put a little bit on a soft, lint-free cloth, and work it into the leather like you wax a car.

I finally got home from the bush, tried wetting the belt loop section of the sheath and put some of the tandy leather caranuba creamand some mink oil on the wet leather, it is now dry and much more flexible than it was before!

I was a bit worried about the leather cracking as it was so stiff, it should not be a concern now.
