I am happy to announce I just received my first SOG today. After a quest for a compact, one-handed opening knife for my daily carry, I did a bit of seeking and found the SOG Twitch I. It's slim profile and one-handed opening were my primary desires, but the addition of the locking mechanism (both for locking it closed in my pocked, a concern to me with assisted knives loose in my pockets) clinched it for me.

Overall, it's a nice, classy-looking knife, has very nice ergonomics for something so small with both the 'kicker' nub and thumb groove on the back providing a sturdy grip. I hope the aluminum handles keep their great appearance as this knife undergoes the rigors of riding in my pockets along with keys, coins, etc. Its size and appearance make it unobtrusive enough to not terrify my coworkers if I need to use it in my business-office environment.

And talk about sharp, this little guy came as one of the sharpest out-of-the-box production knives I've seen. No need for a touch up, it's going straight into my pocket!

One question on it though, is the clip reversible or removeable?

s002cjs, It is a cool little knife, I had a couple I and IIs, wish I had them back, the Twitch I was a little short for me, but the II was perfect. I learned how to open them with the thumb studs, takes a little practice, but works well once you learn how.
These little knives are made well, and get faster with time, a drop of light oil on the pivot will speed it up some. I examined the clip and I am sure you could swap it easily to the other side, not sure what size allens it used, but I think very small, mabe a 5/64 allen, or could be torx, can't remember.
I would loosen the screw carefully and then gently slide the studs out while squeezing end of knife together, or take it completely off, the only problem is there may be some play under the studs after you take the clip off, but it may tighten down enough to secure it. I just can't say for sure about the play since I have not taken one off, should not be a big deal though.
If there is play in the studs, after you take the clip off, you could cut the clip just past where the studs are and leave part of the clip under the studs, I have done this many times with other knives, and it works well, you could take the clip off and put it in a vice and cut it with a hack saw or if you have a metal band saw blade ,use it, leave the holes intact where the studs go and smooth out the edges, and put it back on.

Glad you like your Twitch, it is a cool one!
I think the Twitch is like Blink, and the clip IIRC may be aprt of the structure. Robbie's advice would work, but make sure you get it smooth!!!
And don't tell the warranty police! ;)

The clip on the Twitch I and II are not reversible because of the asymetrical design of where the clip attaches. You can remove the clip though if you would like. The info I got from assembly is the you will need a 1.5mm to remove the clip. I hope this helps you out.

Hey Chris, thats good to know, I really was not sure about swapping sides, it looked like it could be done, I never tried, so I should have said I don't know, :footinmou , Thanks for letting us know.
I may have to get me another one of those little gems.

s002cjs, congrats on picking up your new SOG. Aren't the little ones cute? I have played with a couple at the local knife shop and quite like them. Please keep us up to date on it's use.:D
