My first Spyderco Caly3 CF Zdp-189

Okay I know there is a pic thread but I am excited to get my first! In the future I will post in the pic thread but here she is. A Caly3 CF with Zdp-189 laminated with 420J. Sharpest knife I ever received out of the box, but I have some diamond strops that say she will sport a mirror edge in no time!

Thanks! And thanks on the compliments on my favorite worlds smallest shotgun haha. It's a Bond Arms defender and a riot to shoot. Not as bad as you would think!

I am already on the hunt as is everyone else for a non overpriced para2. I am patient. I have this great caly3 to play with. I have fooled with it so much I already have the thumb flick and pointer finger flick down pat!
 
Very nice, Caly is an excellent knife and is great for EDC. Let us know how you like the steel.

Keep that edge sharp, once you lose it it is a pain to get it back. I reserve mine for dressier occasions, it is such a classy knife.
 
I bought mine used as a beater, it's an amazing cutter.

Congrats on your excellent decision and the great pics. I'm a big fan of the Caly series, which I consider one of the best folding knife designs ever. I've got a Caly 3.5 Super Blue in my pocket right now where a Caly 3 CF was riding earlier in the week. Since you like the Caly 3 so much, I would recommend that you pick up the Caly 3 Super Blue Sprint that is out now before they run out and the price escalates.
 
How is the texture on the cf? Is it really slick, smooth it doesn't look too rough. Just wondering. I want to get one too.

I know it's a beautiful knife, and you've probably heard the 420J scratches, but don't baby it.

I consider my Caly 3.5 a "user" that just happens to look good.
