Nope heretic ain't it. I do not have a Spyderco knife. To remedy this I have been scoping out the Jess Horn. I have seen the Jess horn Lightweight but what is the difference between this and the Jess Horn 2 - custom? DOes anyone have picxs? (I suspect it just has stainless handles but am not sure).

ALso anyone know the retail price of the Jess Horn clipit? THe baby version. THanks.

Hi GigOne,

The SC-38 is the Jess Horn lightweight right? I do most of my buying from discountknives and they listed a custom Jess Horn 2 SC-34 with no description with a retail of 140.00 I wanna know what it looks like.

I will probably get the baby jess horn stainless from ag russell, but want to check out if this SC-34 is the bigger stainless version (thus making my life harder

Sniperboy,

The SC-38 is the Jess Horn lightweight.

Here is a shortcut (hyperlink) to a SC-34:
http://www.agrknives.com/spyderco/spc34.html

4" closed, 3 3/16" blade of AUS8A high carbon stainless, Rc 57-59. Clip. Weighs 2.1 oz. There are 3 types listed on that page and range from $89 - $120..... Of course, different handles........

Check it out. Let me know what you come up with and how it all works out!!

I have the 3/4 Jess Horn in white micarta with flat-ground AUS8 blade. It was sold only by A G Russell I believe. I got it on ebay along with a burgundy micarta fullsized one which I returned due to blade play.
This one is tight and solid, with a scalpel-like blade and is my choice for fruit and any cutting/digging on my body for splinters and such.

There are no liners and the knife is very light. The clip is stainless and it is carried tip-up. The scales are quite different from the micarta on my other Spydies. They are only radiused along the bottom edges. They have a squared boxy look compared to the ones on my Calypsos or Viele.

Butt they ain't black !!!
