Mainly for hard use around the home and land and serve as a backup self preservation device I've narrowed it down to theses two. Please make suggestions on which one. and I'll be carrying it IWB so the Chinnok might be too thick. Can you disasmble either one? If so which?

I happen to own both. I recommend the Chinook since it has a sharp tough blade and the point is in-line with the grip unlike the Military. Furthermore the Chinook has a solid steel pommel for hammering or light chopping. IWB carry is possible since both are fairly flat but the Military is lighter and slightly thinner. Overall, Chinook is the better choice for all-around utility/SD, IMHO.

Hi,

the Military is light, easy to clean and easy to carry. This is Mohammed Ali.

The Chinook is heavy, MBC lock and ask for a pouch. Meet Mike Tyson.

Pick your choice, handle both, see which one fits you the most but don't forget both are fabulous and will never disapoint you.

The CHinook cannot be disassembled and the Military should not as it is so easy to clean and rinse.

cheers

JM
