Got my first Spyderco blade a few days ago after alot of interest. What a beast! The Mini Manix is a soild functioning chunk, cant wait for whatever new tasks get through its way on my E.D.C. norms.
I forget it is in my pocket, slim and sound purchase within F.L.P.
The S30v steel is working great for me; sharp and strong.
It is in combo edge which is not my normal carry, but i am open and havent been let down thus far.
Thanks for the passion and resulting quality gear, keep making them strong.
Anyone still in the intrest phase, stop drooling and start pooling together the funds.

Exactly how I fell about mine. I got a ComboEdge first and then when ahead and found a plain edge. I'm also lovin' on the Paramilitary at the moment but the Mini-Manix is simply awsome. I think it is a significantly better knife than the Manix II.

Congrats on a superb knife decision and enjoy it. Also, consider the Para as your next Spyderco!! You do realize that no man can stop at just one Spyderco.

Great knife:thumbup:

I also like it much more than the Manix II, since It has a clean simple look without all that jimping and the lock on the side.(IMO anyway)

Used mine everyday for 3 years. Use it at work at the factory, cleaning game while hunting, food prep for camping. Very sharp and robust knife. I can't stand the choil on it tho since it gets caught all the time when making long cuts.

The mini-manix was my first as well, and for a little while my only Spydie. Well until early '09. Now I've accumulated close to two dozen of various shapes and sizes...but I'm always on the look out for another plain-edge mini-manix. Just a great, great knife!

One other thing...am I going crazy or do some vendors list the Manix2 w/CF handles and S90V blade in stock? I thought they were a sprint run only (and supplies were exhausted early this fall)?

^ not sure about the CF Manix II.....but man you've been quite for the past two years:p:D

I too find the mini manix to be a great combination of solid heavy duty knife, yet wont burden the pocket like its big brother. Great knife! just wish I had more.
