I have been really looking more into traditional knives lately . And I still love the look and feel of them. But something about that Carbon fiber handle and that leaf shaped blade with a hole in it just called out to me. :) It's action is smooth and sharp out the box. I just got it yesterday but I just wanted to let you guys know I see what all the fuss is about. Sorry Im late to the party. :p
Oh, almost forgot the pic. Of the Sage. It's a great looking knife if I do say so.:D

Congrats on the new knife bud! An excellent choice I must say! Better late to the party then never! Look out though, a Spyderco party can't be stopped! :D

Sage 1 is an awesome pic for your first spidie! Very fun knife to spidie flick. You will be addicted.

Thanks guys. I really like it so far. How does the Sage compare to the paramilitary 2? I see it getting alot more attention than the Sage. Why is that? I'm sorry if that's a dumb question. But like I said it's all new to me. Thanks.

Love the Sage 1, you made a great choice! Now we just have to wait for the Sage 5 and then I'll be content...for like five minutes :P

The Sage 1 is a little more gentlemanly than the PM2 and even though I own 3 (soon to be 4) PM2s, I find myself carrying my Sage more often. The blade is slightly larger and the handle is considerably larger. I'd put it more to hard use though you could EDC it just fine. The compression lock is also a huge bonus, so once the Sage 5 comes out we'll be getting the best of both worlds.

The Sage and PM2 are two of my favorite Spydercos, for sure.

The Sage is more refined and has that "Taichung feel" of robustness and precision that the Taichung Spydies are known for.

The Sage is a bit smaller, more sheeple-friendly, and has excellent ergos.

The PM2 is larger, sports the compression lock, and is one of the top EDC knives of all time, IMO.

The only way you're going to know is to get them both.

Congrats!

Lol. I knew that was coming. :)

I'm really liking the smooth action and the looks of this carbon fiber.

I've owned so many Spydies...they are excellent knives. I tend to buy/sell/trade them, having them around only for a month or three and never carried one recently. But I know no BETTER brand.
Welcome to a great experience.

Excellent knife and a great choice ,first or 21 st. Good looking
and strong. Great fit and finish. Next would be the PM2 or the Bradley or the Endura.

Nice knife. The Sage and pm2 are fairly different knives. Sage is a bit smaller and a bit more of a gents folder. I prefer the pm2. I like the compression lock better than the liner lock. I much prefer the narrower blade and pointier tip of the pm2. I also like the longer handle of the paramilitary. Sage is a sweet knife...pm2 is just sweeter for me.

My problem is the ones i like are ALWAYS out of my price range. Whats up with that? That goes for everything, not just Spyderco knives.
