I finally pulled the trigger and ordered my first Spyderco, a plain edge satin finish Military. I opted for the Military for its size and ergos. I have since diversified myself and I am adding a Spyderco to my collection. I also like the Military for its similarities to the AFCK and TSEK, two of my favorite Benchmades.

Anyway, nothing special but just thought I would say hello to the Spyderco brotherhood and hopefully this will not be my last Spydie.

I have my eye on the 80MM Manix :D

The first of many. Kiss your money goodbye, Spydies are like heroin. Addictive after the first experience:p

Congrats on your first purchase.

Nice choice on your first Spydie buy, I used to think the Military was too big for comfortable carry, but I hardly notice it now. Thin and light, a winning combo.

i`m getting the bg42 carbon fibre handle version of the military soon
Hey Boobar, congrats on your first Spydie! If you like similar but improved knives the BG42 model of the Military has some subtle changes. The jimping on the finger choil and thumb ramp is equivalent, the peel ply carbon fiber handles, and the interal liners.

I bought mine first Spyderco yesterday. A PE Delica, Im directly in love!

Allready orderd a Native and its on its way home to me!

its tru: ''Spydies are like heroin''

I am already looking at a couple more. The Mini-Manix, the UK Pen Knife, and the Chinook are looking pretty sweet.

Just wait for the Caly 3 coming out in the next month or two! Its pretty much the UKPK with a lock and a few other improvements.

I just saw that, I am very interested.

The mailman dropped off my new Spyderco Military and all I can say is this thing is a MONSTER. This is the sharpest knife right out of the box that I have every purchased, I am bound to cut myself sooner or later. Ergos are excellent, very secure feel in the hand. The G-10 is very grippy, much more so than the Benchmade G-10 that I am used to. Lockup is perfect with lots of room for wear and the blade is perfectly center when closed.

All in all I am very impressed with this knife and it will definitely not be my last Spyderco.

My first Spyderco, was a Worker, the first year it came out, my last Spyderco was a Police Model.
