Well folks, my package finally arrived from Amazon.com. For the last two days I have been carrying the Spyderco Resilience and LOVE it. There is zero blade play, lock up is solid and the blade is pretty much dead center. This one is not as smooth opening/closing as one I handled at the gun show, any tips on how to make it smooth as glass? I am now a Spyderco fan and am already thinking about which one I'll get next. I have always liked the old Police model, maybe I'll find myself one.

Try opening the knife a lot and see if it loosens up. after that, take it apart and use a quality lube if you aren't happy.

Like everyone stated, just keep playing with it. My endura and delica were both tight when i first got them. I just kept opening and closing them while watching TV or at my desk at work. After about a half hour or so they loosened up. Now I'm able to flick them open with my middle finger really quickly.

My Resilience I knew was tight from the factory, loosen the pivot as long as it doesn't introduce blade play.
