I just got a hary carry, number 111 in a trade with a guy. Great knife, I love it. The quality is amazing. That handle feels cutom, and it came very sharp.

I was also curious if anybody used rainwalker sheaths? I'm thinking of getting kydex because it's cheaper, but I really like leather.

I would like something thick, with a retension strap by button. US maker.

Thanks, I don't think this'll be my last SR!!

...I hope there is some new stuff soon though...

Congrats and welcome to the swamp. Nice number. If it is going to be a user then kydex is probably fine. If you want to keep it looking pretty leather maybe the better option. Rainwalker is a member of bladeforums and highly respected.

Congrats on the HCLE! I picked up a HC a few months ago and felt the same way, very happy with my purchase. I have purchased 2 rainwalker sheaths but can't comment on them yet as I'm still waiting to get them in the mail. Everyone I talked to about rainwalker had nothing but good things to say. Check out his website by googling rainwalker or find him on the forum and hit him up, I'm sure he'd be happy to answer any questions.

Here is what mine look like:
I am doing a piggyback for the M9 also....

I have a Chuddy Bear Randall style sheath with rare earth magnet retention.

It is very secure, very sturdy, and is a work of art!

Hello,

I thought I'd bring this thread back because like the OP, I have my first Swamp Rat.
It's a M6OD that has a OD Kydex sheath but no belt clip option.

The truth is I'd really like to have a sturdy leather sheath for this knife.
Something like this:

Any suggestions/Option?? I would be OK with a Kydex but one that will clip on to my belt.

Thanks gw

Hi Flatlander -

Check out Noah Legel, who is the man behind Wasteland Leatherwork.

I have had a couple of things made by Noah and I have been very impressed with his work.

best regards -

For leather, you have to check out Armoralleather. The man makes GREAT leather stuff.

Thank you for the kind words kenash! :)

And congrats on the M6 Flatlander, I love mine, its a nice little all arounder. :D

Well Leatherman I must say your standard sheath really appeals to me. Nice work.

This the sheath I'm interested in.

So is it correct to say I'm interested in a saddle, standard, mid-ride sheath, with handle retention??

This is my knife.

I do have a question about this model sheath...
Does it use leather spacers between the top and back hide?

Thanks gw

I love it.

I just spent some time looking at Chuddy Bear's site. He's making some nice sheaths too. This may be a harder choice than I first thought. :D

Yup, theres a pretty substantial welt (the spacer that is sandwiched between the front and back of the sheath) in all my sheaths. :) And, if I remember correctly I have an unassembled sheath sitting in my "pile o unfinished leather stuff" that I could get together quickly.

Just let me know. :D

Leatherman, what do you have for the Warden? I want one. I have received my order from the Swamp and it want's a divorce from the paper sheath. Let me know, brother.
Thanks,
kenash

Well I decided to go with Dwayne and his very nice sheath that I have linked in his M6Bunch2 picture. I'm looking forward to it. gw

Thank you very much flatlander, much appreciated. :D
