My first Swamp Rat

I just got this RMD LE in the mail today, and, man it's sweet!

I've always put off scoring a Busse or kin because my knife habit is out of control as it is, and when you see how rabid the fan base is for these knives is, well I'm concerned about how addicting these blades are.

Anyway, it's super comfortable, great dimensions, and has a generous choil that, at almost an inch in diameter, is actually useable.

Bottom line, I'm impressed.

Now I just need a sheath. Anyone have any extras out there, or advice on who I should buy a sheath from?

Your going to LOVE it even more once you use it! I haven't used mine for more than alil wood whittling but I cant wait to really test it!!! The handle is just so perfect! And just do a quick search there are many quality sheath makers to choose from.

Mashed cat has Kydex pants for that and other Rats.
I think around $45

It's going to be hard to deflower such a sweet piece of virgin steel, but to really love a knife, ya' gots ta git her a little dirty.

It seems like it might be. I've got a Falkniven S1 that's about the same size. It sees a lot of use, so that will be one of the blades The RMD will be trying to bump out of the line up.

Hmm... Mashed Cat and and an order of Fried Rice-- I got that to go from my local Chinese restaurant just last week.

Oh you noticed my avatar. I carved that pumpkin myself. Maybe next Halloween I'll use the RMD to whip up something like this:
