My first tactical knife

My first tactical knife (o.k., my first "real" knife, truth be told) arrived at my house a few days ago. The impressive folder was a gift from a special friend who knows a lot more about knives than I do (I'm a beginner).
My Spyderco Endura VG10 is practically as light as a feather and easily transportable. Its serrated edge gives it just the look I was going for.
Just wanted to let others on the forum know how happy I am with my new knife! :D
 
I know what you mean about that Endura. My fully serrated VG-10 Endura is a real workhorse that only comes out to play when I really mean business. ;)

I have read that many SpydieKnuts started out with either the Delica or Endura. (Endura was my second Spydie.) Your friend made a real good choice for you, Congratulations on your first, but not last, Spydie! Soon, you will want another, and another, and.....:D

How do I know? I started out with one, now I have five with one more on the way and the options for more are endless.:rolleyes:

Sounds like I just might be getting myself into an expensive little habit, eh? (And up until now, I never had any of those.) ;)
 
Congrats on the knife, its a goodie. Personally I don't think of it as a tac knife. But then again, no one really agrees 100% what a tac knife is. Either way it is a hell of a knife that should serve you well, enjoy.
 
know what? I just got both a Delica SE and Endura PE last weekend! they look great, even tho' I think that the FRN edges on the Endura could be smoother. now, if only Sal would design both the Delica and Endura in G10 (please!) - G10 kicks FRN butt anytime....:D
 
My first (and only) Spydie is a stainless Police. I plan to remedy this very soon. Been looking at the Ayoob model. :)

I wouldn't worry so much about the knife if I were you. I'm sure my brothers can find lots of other reasons to come after you. ;)

My very first folder was an Endura. Aus 8 blade and zytel handle. I don't use it as often anymore but it is still a great knife. So easy to sharpen and always held a great edge. And VG 10 is probably about 20 times better in that department.

My Spydie Endura is the knife that got me into this whole damn mess actually!!:D

Too many knives and not enough money:(
