I bought a great mishmetal fire steel the other day and I wanted it mounted on a sheath.Since my Izula is always with me I decided to mount it on there.I used the old belt loop to the Kydex sheath that came with my Bravo-1.It sits in a superb sharpshooter leather sheath now so I had no problem with the scavenge.
I used a boiling pot of water and a few odd tools I had lying around.I'm pretty happy with the results.

It retains very well and the spacing was perfect. All I had to do was tweak the holes a tiny bit and it all fits perfect.

Very nice

The boiling water method seems to be effective and quick. I noticed the sheath I am making was kind of warped, so popped it in some boiling water for a few seconds, and straigthened it out.

lol the fire steel is as heavy as the knife. When my HEST arrives I'm thinking I'll transfer it to that knife instead. It's just a tad heavy for neck carry.

There you go. That firesteel might be a bit big for the Izula. One of the small misch metal rods from Going Gear held on with a ranger band might be the ticket.
