Greetings everyone,

This is my first visit to Uncle Bill's Forum.
After a very constructive and most friendly exchange of emails with the Gentleman that Uncle Bill is, I've ordered a Himalayan katana.
I have also gotten some information by Ray Tirona - also a very kind gentleman - and I look forward for the sword to be ready.
Apart from being a weapon, I'm sure it will also be a very depurated piece of jewelry.
I hope to photograph it when its ready, and ask Uncle Bill to post it.

Congratulations on this Forum!

Welcome, Antonio, to Uncle Bill's Cantina and I hope you become a regular.

I think you'll find most forumites to be very generous with help and advice and they are all gentlemen!

Your katana will soon be in the works and when it arrives you can be sure we will post a picture of "Antonio's Katana!"

And many thanks for kind words!

Welcome, Antonio, and congratulations on the katana. I haven't ordered one yet myself but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

Thanks Uncle Bill,

I'm sure everyone is a gentleman and willing to help with their knowledge.

I will have the patience that all good work requires. I'm sure it will definetly be a strong and fast blade.

"Antonio's Katana!" That sounds nice ;- ) Thank you. And knowing now how you have to manage the forum as well as replying to emails, its surely a great job you're doing.

Thank you : )

Antonio is a fine fellow and I'm sure we will all enjoy his presence and participation. He has a few katanas in his collection which are quite nice! I have seen pix but, who knows, next journey to Nepal if I pass thru Hong Kong I may hop the hydrofoil and go over and see them in person.

Hello Harry and David,

Thank you and everyone else's wonderful welcome. This Forum seems to be one of great harmony and kindness and this is great.

Like Uncle Bill says, I happen to have a few katanas, which are used pretty safely and I expect this one to enrigh my collection as I have requested Nickel-Silver guard and pommel (kashira) and since the blade is polished mirror like, I am very happy to have a Himalayan interpretation that I'm sure will look very beautiful.

Uncle Bill, it will surely be a pleasure if you come and visit, specially in March April, you know why ; )

Best regards to all.

Greetings again,

Thank you Harry, David and Uncle Bill for your welcome and kind words.

I do happen to have a modest collection of swords from various origins which are used very safely and peacefuly.

You may view them at: http://www.arscives.com/cejunior/myswords/

This Forum is surely a haven of harmony. I am looking forward the Himalayan Katana which I ordered with nickel silver fittings and a black handle. With the habaki in silver as default and the mirror like polished blade, which I recall asking for a 26.5 inches long, it will certainly be a very nice adition to my collection.

Once again my very best regards to everyone here.

I posted once before but it didn't show up (at least I couldn't see it) so I apologize if I'm repeating myself.

Antonio, I add my welcome to that of the other forumites. But BEWARE! Let me warn you about HI products if no one else has already done so: THEY ARE ADDICTING! Once you hold an HI khuk, katana, or other edged weapon in your hands, you will be forever changed. You will find, in short order, that you're willing to go to increasingly extreme measures to purchase even more HI products. So, in the months to come, when you discover that you're going without basic necessities in order to get that next knife, sword, or whatever, don't say that you weren't fairly warned!!
