My first traditional after a year of use...

Last year I got my first traditional blade: a GEC Toothpick in jigged red bone. I have carried it for most of the year in my front right pocket. I really enjoy toting traditional blades around this time of year as it is a time I find myself thinking of past memories and past times. I thought I would share some pictures of my knife for you to enjoy :). I hope everyone has a happy new year,

Mark

Looking good there. Might want to put that knife to more use though, the patina's still pretty thin. I can barely read your fingerprints on the blade.

Yeah, don't leave it at any crime scenes.

The knife looks great. Hope it is serving you well. Am I mistaken or does that bone look like it has been smoothed out just a little from carry. ;)

I think a knife begins to look pretty and real after about a year of use. And it only gets prettier as the years go on!

Very nice!

Stay sharp,

Hi Mark -

Great pictures - thanks!

That is a sweet looking pattern, and I like how your's is taking on a "well-loved" appearance.

Your knife is holding up well and looking great.

Thanks again for the pictures.

best regards -

Yeah, it really is a comfortable knife. It gives me no hot spots even after carving for an hour or more
