I recently inherited a heat gun, and I found the spare parts to make a temporary press. At this point I decided, what the heck, I'll give kydex bending a shot!
$40 later I have a rivet flaring die and some kydex & rivets, which I have put to good use.
I learned a couple useful things from this. 1: Don't make the kydex sheet too small, or you'll have issues. And 2: measure where you drill holes, don't just guess
Next time I buy some kydex, I should have something that looks a bit more professional... But these two blems were sure fun to try making!
(The random extra holes on the big one are where I'm missing two rivets (the kit came with 10, needed 12) and where I tried to mount an included belt loop (which was designed for thinner kydex))
