My first two sheaths

So, I bought $30 worth of leather off eBay, $12 worth of thread, needles, snaps, etc. at the local hardware store, and made a few sheaths. I needed the sheaths because I bought my first Swamp Rat (Ratmandu), and they don't come with sheaths :thumbdn:. The Ratmandu sheath was my first (notice the horrible stitch job). The other knife is a knife I made last year, and never got around to making a decent sheath for it. The sheath for my knife turned out a little better (not perfect by any means). Maybe a few more for some of my other knives, and they'll start looking good. Both sheaths are stacked layers, double sewn, with a large low ride belt loop. Enjoy:

You're off to a good start, anyway! :) -- You can't correct mistakes until you've made them. :p

That's what I was going for. They will be 100% (eh, make that 90%:D) fully functional sheaths.

Looks really good for the first time!

Tandy sells a 5 dollar tool that will score/mark yor holes for stitching -- it's really easy to keep them straight and even that way (at least on the front), you just roll it along the edge.
