my first unhappy experience with Emerson

Last Wednesday I called Emerson knives to place an order due to have troubles on their web page. The lady I talked to was very nice and and was helpful. After placing my order she asked me how I wanted to ship my order ups or usps. She then told me that if I went with USPS that it wouldn't go out untill the next day. I said that would be fine.

The next day I saw that my card had been charged so I figure that my order had shipped. (from my experience most companies don't charge you till the items ship.) So as of this monday I had still not received my package or even an e-mail saying i placed an order, or one had shipped.

I then thought since I placed an order by phone maybe i mis-spoke my address, so I called to check on the staus of my order. I spoke to a lady that was again very nice. She advised that my order had not been sent out and was waiting for pick up. She advised me that they had one scheduled for Tuesday and it would go out then and I would receive a tracking number via e-mail. Still no e-mail on Tuesday. So I called again today still had not shipped and was told that it would ship today, and I would receive and e-mail with a tracking number. once again nothing.

Emerson knives are the only brand of folders I own know. I also think they are the best knife in their price group. This just really upsets me that I spend anywhere from $180 - $260 on their knives which i have well over $1,000 invested in. I can't even get a straight answer on when my order is going to ship

thanks guys I just wanted to vent!
 
I think that I would cut them some slack, sheriff. Emerson just moved into a new factory space and one can expect a degree of chaos for awhile. Hopefully all will turn out well for you.

I'm not mad, nor will I quit buying from Emerson. I was just venting more than anything. Emerson has me sold on their product and I will continue to suport them.
 
i've been thinking of buying my next emerson direct. is it worth the extra dough to get it from emerson
 
Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that many of their products are only available from the factory, atm.

i believe you are right. I've never seen anything but their knives for sale on other web sites. Emerson has some very cool add on's to their knives and pretty tough shirts
 
I expect once they get unpacked and settled in, you'll be back to nothing but happy experiences.
I've done the move thing and it gets ugly for awhile.
