Hello everyone! My name is Herb Martin. I've lived in Richmond VA all my life. I got the knife bug early, fishing and hunting with my grandfather. He always said "Keep that blade sharp." On the road to Eagle Scout I learned to appreciate all
edged tools. Woodcraft and leather craft were what I enjoyed most. Caught the knife collecting bug in my teens, started with factory knives and graduated to handmade knives. Met some great knife makers along the way and became interested in knife making. Sold most of my "collection" to fund equipment for my knife shop. Bought a grinder in 2001 and became a Knife Guild member in 2006. Met Andy at the Guild Show in Louisville last week and he kindly offered to let me list some of my knives here on the Fiddleback Forge forum. Will be interested in what you guys think of them! I'm looking forward to being part of this community.

Hey H A Martin .. I think I may have had a chance to handle one of your blades at Andy's shop last week. It had a great feel.
Reminded me of a handcrafted version of BHK. Very cool bushcrafting feel. Welcome to BladeForums!

Greetings from Midlothian, neighbor! Found some pics of your knives on Ebay. They have nice clean lines. Do you make the sheaths too?

Really looking forward to seeing your work! Andy is really good to us. I can't recall someone so willing and helpful to knife makers and sheath makers too.

Hi Mbern, I make sheaths for all my knives. Nothing fancy, basic deep pouch with belt loop. 7-8oz leather with a welt, to protect stitching. Talk to you soon. Herb
