my first small seb wood inlay arrived today....its much more red in hue than the pic suggests and its literally mint/perfect....the wood is madrone..i now see what all the hubbub is all
about!.....feverdoc

That photo looks very familiar, nice Sebenza.

It was also my very first Sebenza purchased. Last month I bought a small maple burl inlay and could not justify having two small wood knives.

I almost made the mistake of selling my small wood inlay when I was in a bind....luckily the good folks here on the forums talked me out of doing that!! thanks again guys...:)

the blade is dark because of the pic...the blade is satin polished and is flawless....gary you are right the way a wood inlay seb feels is much different than a regular or decorated...its lighter but somehow fits the hand better overall...now if i can just get the courage to carry it and use it....thanks for the compliments guys.....feverdoc
 
Very pretty, feverdoc. I like it a lot. Am not going to think of woodies for a long time -- I hope -- but some burls sure are gorgeous.

Reminded me that I have a bit of madrona wood laid by, from a small tree that died in my yard a couple years ago. Want to check the wood to see how it looks.

SInce I've never before posted on one of your threads before, want to say that your signature is easily one of the top 5 on the forums, IMO. Never fails to get a grin out of me. THanks for all the grins.

general....i take it you have named your sebs?....if so, the name i bestow on my first woody is (fill in the blank here guys..i need some help...any suggestions?)

peter?....dick?.....john thomas?...woodrow?...sounds good so far any other suggestions?
