Hi folks,

Well, it's been a year since I have joined BladeForums. Thanks to the members here, in that time I've learned an enormous amount about knives. Blade steel, knife construction, sharpening techniques, knife maintenance and repair.... The list goes on and on. The discussions that I've participated and even the ones that I only watched have helped me to both define and refine my tastes. And the exchange forums have been a steady source of great deals. I thank all of you for contributing to such a great community. I haven't always agreed with everything that was said, but I've even learned things from those that I disagreed with.

That said, I'd like to give just a tiny bit back to the community here. Instead of offering a single knife or piece of gear, I want to give away six knives, and a flashlight. Now these are all inexpensive knives, so the Sebenza crowd will be unimpressed. But they are all either new, or have only been carried maybe once or twice.

Here's how it will work:

I'll run this for two weeks, and the only thing that you need to do to have a chance at an item is to post "Thanks BladeForums" in the thread. When the two weeks are up I'll use a random number generator to pick seven entry posts. In the order that the random generator picks the posts, the winners will one at a time pick from the remaining items until they are all chosen.

OK On to the stuff.....

As I said earlier, nothing too expensive, but not gas station knives either:

UPDATE: The remaining unchosen items will be bundled together and given to a single person. Please read the update in post 261.

This is a Lansky Turnbox. I call it the poor man's SharpMaker. This is the four rod version. I bought it specifically to test against the SharpMaker and it has sharpened five knives.

Next is a CRKT Crawford Kasper. This is a large knife, but it has a surprisingly smooth action for an inexpensive piece. It has CRKT's Lawks system, witch I personally think is much more user friendly than their Autolawks.

Here's a small knife made by Timberline. It's called the Medium Valloton Signature. It's an assisted opener similar in size to a Kershaw Scallion.

And lastly, another CRKT knife. This one is the Badger. It also has the Outburst AO system, and was also carried a few times.
