I was lucky enough to score this bad boy yesterday at the local gun show. I took it to work last night and the 4 officers I work with all want one . Everyone was really impressed. Later on today i will be placing an order for 3 with the dealer I purchased it from for those officers. Great job Kershaw.

How is the action compared to the AO speedsafe? I wish i could get one of those ZT autos but i dont think the academy is taking guys nearing 40 ATM. HA, ha. Nice knife! enjoy

Thankfully, my state is protecting me from these nice autos by BANNING them...even with a CCW.

Very nice pick-up houtex, and a great pic too!

It is slighty slower than my full sized Cyclone, just enough to notice. I gotta remember to let go of the button:rolleyes:HAHA.
thankfully,Houston is giving guys up to 45 a chance. You can own one just don't leave the house with it, that's what I'm doing. It was out with me Sunday night to show off and hasn't left the house since.

Very nice Houtex!

The ZT autos keep calling my name. I'm in California, but it couldn't hurt to have one tucked away in the safe with the collection:D

houtex, I don't mean to pry, but you mentioned you worked with 4 officers.
Then you said you couldn't carry one in Texas. Are you not an officer?
I assumed you were when you mentioned working with the 4 officers.

No I am not yet an officer. I manage a niteclub. We supplement security with police officers.
I am looking to apply later this year,so for now,the ZT is sitting pretty on the dresser.
As far as price,I've seen them for 165-225$. I was able to get mine at 125$ from a dealer that I often buy from.

Nice looking tool houtex, $125 seems like a steal for ANY ZT. My search for a new knife began with a interest in buying a auto, however not legal in washington state, so i decided to revisit the kershaw/ZT speedsafe knifes with the thought that they are not at that much of a dis-advantage to the automatics. My thought was to get a auto anyway, What the heck COULD happen? Are they going to give you life in prison? seems to me that unless your some crackhead brewing crystal meth in your backyard, its just going to be confiscated and become some officers new knife.

Current-day switchblade laws are a direct result of Hollywood, re: West Side Story and The Wild One. Both of these fueled laws from such people as Sen. Estes Kefauver from Tennessee, and ultimately resulted in the Federal ban that exists to this day.
