My first ZT today

picked up a mint 450 in the sales section here. Wanted something for edc in a small package. I wasn't expecting the action to be so snappy on this thing. Sounds like a machine gun firing when opening. Are all the ZTs similar? Just impressed with the build. Maybe isn't the best looking thing out there but I don't have anything that snaps out like this one. Anyone make a custom scale for it?

I also got a kansept mini kryo today and it's a darn good build to but the action is no where near the ZTs. Light and compact though.

Anyhow, just wanted to say joined the ZT club and happy so far with this one. Looked at the 0562s but they seem a little to big for my style.

Welcome to the club! Love my ZTs. From my experience they all have pretty sweet action. Careful, they have a habit of multiplying.:rolleyes:;)

That 0450 is one of the snappiest ZTs I've ever owned. :) The 0562 I had a few years back was a close second.

But across the board, my ZT experiences have all been good ones. They do good work, and their warranty is solid. It's a good club to join! :D

The 0450 is a great knife. A bit small handled for me but I thoroughly enjoyed the action like you described. It was almost impossible to not fly open when pressing it even lightly. It was my only other ZT until I snagged an 0804CF. Not quite as snappy due to the heavy blade but still smooth and locks up with a satisfying clack. ZT definitely knows how to make a flipper.

The 0450 is a great work day carry. Small, light weight, awesome action and great fidget factor. My favorite ZT weekend carries are the 0801, 0095, and 0562. My absolute favorite is the 0452. They just got everything right with that one.

Does anyone know where you can find scales for ZTs? I'm assuming it's ok to ask that here. Thanks in advance
 
i just bought the black zt 0308 and it fires out hard, i had to break it in though by opening and closing it a bunch of times though as it was too tough to flip open at first
