I finally got around to getting my first Swamp Rat. It is a old school Ratweiler and I love it. Really feels great in the hand and is imo the perfect size for a great camp knife. I really like the handle design of this knife feels great.
Now for a pic,

+1 on the congrats, they're great knives.
I was surprised to see the level of mintiness, LOL, can one say "very mint"?
I've used mine, but normal use doesn't really wear out a blade. It's got a little smoothing on the coating,
and the bare metal of the logo etch is partly corroded IIRC.

Well, yours is definitely prettier than mine.

With any luck, that won't last. It's a good knife, a fine little chopper.

So ... get out there and dirty it up!! :D

You have the very bestest (a Hammie word) Rat ever made. You made a great choice, bro.

Now what's next?

Congrats on your score! I also have an old school Ratweiler. It was one of my first Swamp Rat blades. :D

That's about as good as they get.

I recently got one of the old-school handles (like yours), and I'm still grinning.

Way to go Dobywon! You jumped into the pool headfirst and got one of the best knives ever made. The Ratweiler is an amazing knife and the old school micarta on yours makes it even nicer.

Great catch dobywon! I'd love to get one of those Ratweilers, my Battle Rat feels kinda lonely sometimes. The clip-point blade is soo beautiful...:D Unfortunately they're don't show up very often and the prices are getting higher and higher it seems. Enjoy your Rat!!
