Wow, bill !!!!
You don't mess around huh.
Does OKC stand for Obsessive Khukuri Compulsion?

Is this blade just a "looker" or is it a user?
I bought it for it's beauty, but can I chop with it also?

To be honest with you bill... it's built like all H.I. khukuri and will probably do a days work. but it will probably not look as nice for long and the inlays may pop out under impact stress. which is why we cannot warrant it for chopping.
People have used them. It is said they actually chop quite well.

However, everyone should be aware of the warranty. If it's not on the list. It is not warranted for chopping wood.
Do so at your own risk.

I think I will get a CAK for chopping and just display this one. After all, that is what I bought it for.

Nice, the YCS is one of my favorites. I had one just like that but sold it. I bought another with a plain handle for use and abuse..

My first YCS with a handle just like yours was 17" and 29oz. It was a fantastic chopper, I just didn't want to break it (the inlays) as I prefer users. I have a couple that are just for show but the rest get put to work.

Beautiful mistress...rather have a wife i can count on to stand by my side when times are hard! IMHO

Wonderful knife...Great tribute to a sorely missed, genuinely unique man!! way 2 go

YCS = Yvsa Cherokee Special. A prominent member of this forum (recently passed to the eternal hunting grounds) who among other things designed this khukuri.
