I actually wound up making two of these out of wood to get the mechanics down before attempting to build this one. They made some cool birthday gifts for friends kids.

A bit more challenging than I thought, however it came out pretty close to my original design.

Flat grind, 3/16" edge quenched 5160. Ivory Micarta handles w/ Nickle silver pins and SS gaurd. Balanced right at the index finger.
7" blade 12"OAL

Next attempt will have Black Micarta or maybe some Giraffe bone or Elk slabs and a Mirror polish using 440c

Suggestions are welcome and appreciated:D

Very nice profile Robert. I think it would look very good with a dark handle material as well. The picture does not do it justice. Is it possible to see it from other angles?
 
Good looking knife:cool: think it would look great with light or dark scales,imo,and nothing wrong w/satin finish,I for one prefer them.
