Well, I bought my first Spydie, a Stretch II. I chose that one because I wanted to try a new steel, and I don’t have any knives with CF. Of the few Spydies with ZDP/CF I like the blade profile on this one the best. So far its great. I really like the tight tolerances, there’s no play, and a good solid lock up. I can't wait to get a good sharpener and see what kind of scary edge I can put it.
Question about ZDP, how corrosive is it? Do I need to worry about always keeping it oiled? Corrosion wise what other steels is ZDP on par with?
Thanks!

ZDP-189 seems to stain a bit easier than VG-10. Keeping it oiled is not really necessary unless you live in a very humid environment. The only time I have seen any rust spotting on any of my ZDP blades was when I had my Delica in the leg pocket of my carpenter jeans while I was working on sprinklers (I was soaked for several hours). All that wiped off with a dry rag.
