Great pictures. That is without question one of the best looking knives they've ever made.

A very nice knife, hopefully I'll have one this year. Also a nice Kimber too!

Great looking knife! How about some pics of the lock side and lockup?

Good stuff. I got mine a couple days ago, and I definitely agree that it's one of the best-looking knives I've ever seen.

Thanks brother :) Yes. It has the RIL. It has the stainless insert, positioned and double pinned, where the lock engages, and safeguarding consistent solid lock up.

The blade is flat ground.

Nice, Alpha! Does the fluted have the steel lockbar insert?

I stand corrected! The literature states that it has the Stainless Insert. It does not and other people are saying the same thing.
Sal, is this supposed to have the insert as the literature states? Do we need to send them back to have this added?

It definitely doesn't have the lockbar insert...very interesting since the literature says it is supposed to have it.

Who did the heat coloring for you? I can't imagine they are coming from the factory with the heat coloring, are they?

Came from Sals boys like that. Each one is supposed to be unique.

Lovely Millie and great score from Jim.
I can't help thinking that this beauty deserved an S90V blade to go with that handle. I know there's a price point to be hit but sometimes you just gotta go for it...

Thanks and I agree. S90V would have been hot. :)

Dude, that is a beauty of a knife. The Sapphire ain't bad, either. :)

Hope you enjoy the fluted Ti Millie for many years to come!

Any more word about the steel insert on the lockbar? That's just odd

Kristi explained the lock insert over on the Spyderco forums:

The first run of the Fluted Ti Millie did not have the lock bar insert. As most of you are aware, titanium is difficult to work with and production of the Ti models takes longer than that of other models. The parts for the first run (less than 200) were cut prior to the CQI (Constant Quality Improvement) decision to add the lock bar insert.

So it appears that the collector's club editions don't have the insert, but most of the others will. The literature was probably printed up to reflect what will become the majority of the Ti Millies, so that's why it mentions the insert.
