Kewl.

Thanks for posting.

Do you like a single thumbstud or double on your Large Seb.?

Both :D

For a pure working knife I would carry my double lug over the single, but the single lugs have that OG look with the plain Jain scales and blue spacers and lug. Also digg that old school look with the old clip on the BG42s.

You can't really go wrong is what Im say'in

For power plus pure cutting power, I'd put the Manix at the top of this group, but the Sebbies are incredible, too, maybe better cutters.

Nice collection of big, tough knives.

That Hinderer is awesome...

There is a really nice story that goes with that Hinderer.

I bought my way on the waiting list. (Meaning I paid the guy who was on the wait list a aftermarket price to take his spot, when the knife is done Rick Shipped her to me) So I have had her from when she was really MINT. I carried it for a while, then after I got the DGG SNG I never carried the Hinderer anymore. Mostly because the SNG is lighter and thinner in the pocket while still being very tough. Also the SNG cut better due to the higher flat grind vs the saber on the XM this combo knocked the XM out of the pocket.

So anyways a long story longer I sold the XM to a good friend;) The funny part is, the day after I sold it my three year old boy said, "daddy I want to see your orange knife." I said, "honey I sold it, we do not have it anymore." He was a little sad, but if you know three year olds he was on with his life in 30seconds. While I had that lump in my chest thinking that could of been his knife... But O well I was sure it was in a good home.

So when my friend was ready to sell it after 6 or more months of owning it, he got back with me first  What a guy huh? When I got that PM I looked like this --> :D

There is almost the same story as above with that small BG42...

Always sell to your friends  (If you can)

Thaanks again guys  You know who you are :D

Thanks for the kind words

No doubt about it, the Manix can cut like crazy! As can th high hollow grind on the Sebbies... Better cutters? Hummmm

I'm not sure who would win that match

What's your favorite 5 ? I know all of them but any idea's?

Your first post in three years is in my thread  :p I feel honored :D

Of course you know it's like asking me to pick a favorite kid;)

But these are knives not people...

I do like them all, but if you told me I HAD to pick one to carry (can't sell it) I would go with the Large double Micarta 21. It can fit in from church to hard work remodeling the house to riding the fourwheeler.. To mowing the grass.. To my sales job opening boxes when needed.

All while looking in style and like it belongs there. I guess it's not "over the top" in styling. The bushing makes clean up easy, CRKs S30 will sharpen up to hair whitting in a couple strokes on the Spyderco 306UF benchstone.

It carrys well due to the slim foot print in your pocket. Fits perfect clipped to your back pocket and front pocket and I do clip to both. Back for my sales job, to keep it out of sight... and front right pocket when out and about in my jeans or cargo shorts.

It fits the hand PERFECT due to the extra that the Micarta adds. The double studs would help if I was on a ladder or doing whatever with my right hand.

Did I mention lockup is awesome and the action is butter smooth  The large is just enough for most food tasks while not being too large for other small EDC type stuff.

Sheeple can see me using this knife and say something like, "Hey that's a nice knife!" Probably due to the simple lines of the inlays, and simple construction of the knife.

Really I could go on and on... Perfect pocket clip, perfect lanyard holder... Perfect grind... Ect you get the point..

It does all that above while still being every bit as capable as the SNG. It might not take as much in pure out prying due to the Hollow vs the flat... But I would bet it would be a close call.

Them BG42s would be very hard to find again if I had to.

You have good taste. That Large Micarta 21 double thumb lug is one of my dream knives. I have a large regular double thumb lug that I need to sell to buy that one.

Thanks Joe

I had go order it from CRK because I could not find a large 21 with double lugs anywhere. The wait was about three weeks

Regs are nice, and for a while I thought I liked them better but after owning this 21 I can safely say I like the 21s with inlays a tad better.

My first Sebenza was a Large Micarta Classic, and the feel was the best I've ever experienced. I eventually sold it because I was still in my exploration phase to try a full custom, and was very let down in the drop in quality compared to the Sebenza, so I bought a Large Regular to change it up a bit. I love it, but it just doesn't feel as nice as the Micarta did, and I hear the 21 is even better.

You know, I have this folder of subscriptions titled "wishlist/salivation inducers". Not many threads in it.

Welcome.

:D

Very nice group, So-Lo:thumbup: I'd give you an even better compliment if I actually liked you!!:D
