I started out with an Umnumzaan, which replaced my Para-2 and became my permanent EDC, then a Large Sebenza 21, a Sebenza 21 Insingo and finally a Butch Vallotton converted Classic Sebenza with Snakewood inlays. It was then I realised I had reached the apex of my CRK collection and it was time to move onto other brands of knives. Sure, there are many other Chris Reeve knives I could get, like a small sebenza, maybe a discontinuted one or even a fixed point one. But for now I am content with the knives I have and I wanted to share them with the forum.

Yeah I just got it today and it looks like it hasn't been taken apart since ever, so I'm gonna try to see if I can take apart and clean a vollotton converted sebbie. lol

what does a vollatton conversion imply I assume it has something to do with the screws in the inlay?

it means that it has been converted into a dual action auto knife. so i could use it as a manual or push back on the inlay and use it as an automatic knife, switchblade w/e. pretty cool

oh ok, wow that is pretty cool... Thanks! Any chance we could get some pics of it taken apart?

I'm guessing that notch in the blade is necessary for the blade to seat in the handle?
Looks like all it needs is a good cleaning/ refurbishing and you have one hell of an auto sebenza :)

yeah it presses the metal rod back into place when you press the button to fire it.

also no pictures of it taken apart. one of the screws is what I'm guess, has been loctited, but the knife has been cleaned and greased.

I could name a few knives you still might still "need" but that collection does need a Regular at least to be complete IMO.

Nice knives though, the BV auto is a cool knife to have in any collection.

I have never said I would not buy anymore CRK, but I have said, I am not buying anymore " for awhile ".............Then one pops up a couple days later I just have to have and I buy it....lol. You don't need a ton of em. One will do, but whats the fun in that :)
