  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

My friend deserves the best!

But I made him this instead;

This lil guy is made from an A2 drop, some fugly G10 that came my way via Lightfoot care package, and some brass tubes I inherited from this weird guy I know who wanted to be a knife maker back in the 90s, but couldn't hack in and just stored all his shit which he eventually traded me for some work I did on his bicycle. All free stuff, except the epoxy and the electricity to run my kiln.

I would not describe this as my best work, lol. But it is still kinda lovable.

My buddy, Russ, works with wood a lot and is more of a practical wood worker- making signs, shelving...useful stuff. But I want him to start doing some of that crazy joinery shit and you need a knife fairly specific to it, so I made this for that. I have no idea how well it will work, but I did do some research first at least and there is intention behind all aspects of the design.

I'll probably make a little pouch sheath of some kind for it, but it's pointy as hell some I might need to use some wood. Or maybe I'll make him take care of that himself. Meh, who knows?

Thanks for looking.

Nice. Saw the handle in your sheath photo and was wondering what it was …

I'm still wondering what it is- ha!
It's on my desk so I've been cutting a bunch of stuff with it. Not only did I poke it into a steel rivet, I realized I was cutting into a grommet while making a rag from an old hoody🤦‍♂️
