My GEC is just beautiful

Here whit my CWC Royal Navy Diver for comparison (great watch if you ask me)

Being a “trapper’s knife” this GEC should be a tough, robust tool

Let’s doing some “trapper’s trials” on this knife, under a grey sky anyway

Of course, a trapper’s knife must help doing some …traps, right? So here we are whit a trigger

Next, tent’s stake …you may bet that a trapper need some of them just everyday

Finally, some feather’s sticks, I’m sure trappers start some fire, didn’t you?

Not hot spots on my hand after these job’s

Conclusion: my “test” is incomplete, I should tried the knife on ropes, food, leather, skin ecc. This knife shows as a real “trapper’s knife”, and perform similarly on my brief test. It’s a good cutter, you may carve (fresh) wood without any problems. I found it really comfortable, as per the shape of the handle and the handle material (bone). All in all, a very good folder, and just beautiful.

Ciao,
Alfredo

Alfredo, your knife appears to be a #23 right?
If so, I know exactly what your talking about, it's an all day cutter and there is no need to worry about hot spots or anything like that.

Great way representing this wonderful pattern, you have given it a great go and it will be able to show it's usefulness with even more tests.

Sweet looking knife. I love the size. Thanks for the review.

Great write-up and pictures. Thanks!

I especially appreciate your including this telling detail, complete with photographic confirmation:

That, in conjunction with all that came before, says a lot about this knife.

Thank you, for giving this nice review on the GEC Trapper. It´s really a fine tool and a great looking handle material, I think :)

Kind regards

Cool knife and nice review! would you say that you have large hands? i'm just wondering how well the knife would hold/fit into someone's hands if he or she had medium sized hands...or would it feel too big? Do you have any other blades for a comparison shot?

Great review, man! I wish we had more of these types of reviews. That knife is one good looking handful as well. I was looking for a PB 23 when I bought my and couldn't find one. The Burnt Stag that I did get seems to be eternally nestled in my back pocket. I love these big trappers. Thanks again.

Thanks guys.
@orchunter93: yes, I have large hands. I guess anyway the Trapper would fit well also for persons whit medium hands.

Primitive Bone is a really desirable handle choice in my view, it has an interesting variety and can outshine average stag for sure!

Very nice to see it on this knife, the No. 23 is too large for my small hands but I find its cousin the 73 just the job.

Many thanks for posting your review, I hope this won't be your only GEC.

I'm curious to know how many European countries GEC has claimed owners in? On this forum, there's here(Finland) Italy, Sardinia, Germany, Great Britain, any others? Shows how worthy these knives are.

Regards, Will
