We went out to breakfast this morning and during normal conversation she said "I figured since it was nice you would go for a walk in the woods."
And that is what I did...! Went to a trail that is no too far from my house... then veered off to "my spot".
I picked this knife up a year ago and never used it. Its the EWOK (Essential Work and Outdoors Knife) it's 6" oal, 2 1/2" blade, and 1/8" thick. Even though this knife is small it did great batoning through the hardwood to make my one stick fire. This knife might actually be over built, for some reason I have been wanting a really thin knife lately.
I also took my orange Wilderness SAK... I'm really liking this knife! I made my shavings with this knife and found it was very comfortable. It's thin and doesn't have the key chain attachment nub that sticks into my hand like on the Farmer (my other favorite SAK... I keep one in my pack).
Here are the pics... it was windy and I'm not sure the status of "open fires" where I was hanging out so I cut the fire short and fired up my stove to make a cup of hot coffee. Enjoy...!
