My Granddaughter's new bow.

My wife and I have our Granddaughter Mackenzie for the weekend, it was her 10th Birthday on Tuesday. Here she is opening her new bow and posing with it. It is a 52", 20# fiberglass bow kit with arrows and quiver. I am trying to start her going on the whole outdoor thing along with some survival training as well. She already has her own DP Knives SGK with Purple heart handles. I will get more pictures of her and I shooting later this afternoon. Doug

It is nice to see the younger generation getting into the outdoor sports. Happy birthday Mackenzie and I hope you have a good time learning to use your new bow.

Happy birthday Mackenzie. Your smile say it all.:thumbup::thumbup: My 10 yr old grand daughter shoots one of mine at a deer in the backyard and has a blast.
 
My daughter has the exact same bow. I've still got the 35# fiberglass recurve I got when I was a kid. We have a great time shooting together.

You are so right, We were there when she was born and it is so hard to believe she is 10. She has twin brothers that are 5 boy how time flies. Doug
 
She's a southpaw just like Grandpa! Very cool. Glad to see Mackezie enjoying her first double-digit birthday!
 
Hey Doug ,Tell Mackenzie HAPPY BIRTHDAY ! It was a pleasure to meet her at last years NY Gathering. That bow is a real beauty. She will enjoy that for many years.

That's great! I got our two kids (10 and 14) bows to shoot with me when I'm out shooting in our back yard (I shoot target compound, recurve, and crossbow). They love it and are great at getting the correct "form" - they learn much more quickly than old farts like me. Enjoy these special moments with the grandkids. As you know, they will be grown up very quickly, but you will always have these moments to treasure!
