My grandmother is eating dinner with Shelley Long right now

Good comedic actress, though she really fell off the radar screen.

And I am empressed.

Phillip, don't you care enough about your grandmother to find a way for her to have appropriate social interaction without sitting in front of the boob-tube, watching Cheers re-runs, and eating frozen dinners?

Hey, if she like her, why not! I think I'd rather eat with George Wendt but an invitation hasn't arrived in the mail yet.

You must not be taking me seriously. Really, she is sitting at the same table as Shelley Long. Here's how. My grandmother lives at an old folks home 11 minutes from here, where Mrs. Long's mother also lives. She just moved in this week, and Shelley came to town (she was born and raised here in Fort Wayne) to help her mom get settled in. The old folks home assigns seating at meals, and there was an opening at my grandmothers table, so that's where Shelleys mom is sitting, and Shelley is having dinner with them today.

I was just joking about being impressed. I'm not the type become "star struck". It's kinda cool, but nothing to be impressed about.

And Money Pit is one of my favorite movies.

Just teasing...

I knew you meant she really was having dinner with her. I hope she enjoyed it.

I've often wondered about eating with a "star". Could you keep it on a social level and stay away from all the shop talk? I guess it depends on the celebrity and how they handle things too.
