Hey guys. I've had these since my grandfather died in 97. The Schrade uncle Henry was his. It's the single thing I remember constant about him for my entire life (23 when he passed). Man that knife cleaned more rabbits (bag limits may have been a suggestion for him) and whittled more sticks to a point out of boredom. The bottom small one is a kbar. It was just great grandfather's and was pretty much his teeth. I never met him (passed before my time). He would use it to cut up his food small enough to swallow I'm told. And, if I have the stories straight, may have sliced open another man's gut over an argument over train arrival time.

Anyway, I would very much appreciate any more information on them. And figured I would share with someone that may appreciate them. Only me and my dad around here have the fond memories (me of the Schrade, dad of both).

I think i may try to build some type of shadow box to keep them in and hang on a wall.

The Schrade is a 885 UH Stockman. Some call it the Large Senior Stockman. Here's one I'm watching on eBay for possible purchase....

The UH is post 1973 construction, as that is when they switched to that tang stamp. the + on the tang stamp means stainless steel.

nice couple knives, thanks for sharing them.

Thanks! That would be about right. I was born in 74, and that's the only knife I remember him having. So it was bought between 73 and about 77ish.

No info on the little kabar?
