I really liked the design of the knives. Before I bought any I was deterred from buying them because I hated the way the clip looked. But I eventually caved and bought one. The clip is actually nice. I am working on making a new deep pocket carry clip. :)

I love these knives! These and the Bm Bone Collector 15030's are my favs!

I made a few backspacers for them. Will be making a green/black one for the new green/black g10 limited

Great collection

I especially love that CF model, and the G10 one is very cool too. Which do you prefer more: mini or regular size?

Both feel good in the hand. I can only legally carry the mini. I probably wouldn't want to carry the full size everyday. Fishing, hiking, camping. Yeah

The 746 is one of my favorite knives. I'm not sure if I should get it's big brother.

Nice selection; I love anything that Bob designed, and the Benchmade versions come close in many ways. Unlike the Deja's the Onslaughts are very close to the originals by using those big old fat clips most love and some hate. And it's my take that the Axis lock is better than the Walker Liner Lock in safety and design, so we have the best of both worlds.

On the large 741 vs 746, the smaller gets a lot more carry time for utility work, but the BIG brother is superb in the kitchen for slicing stuff. The 741 does fit in my jeans pocket but it's a lot to carry.

Great collection!

I also have a particular affection for Bob Lum's designs.

Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, great knife design!

I wish that they would have gone with a thicker blade in the large one though.

And I agree that I feel more safe with the axis lock then the walker liner locks. Benchmade has shown some awesome torture tests and it takes 400+ lbs of pressure to compromise the lock. I've seen walker liner locks fail the spine test being hit on the palm of the hand. :/

Awesome collection man! I really dig the Onslaught as well and have a regular satin Mini myself. I was also initially adverse to the clip but it's grown on me and I don't mind it now. I'm still contemplating painting it black just to make it less conspicuous. I haven't carried it clipped outside yet because it's pretty bold in the pocket lol.

I just found a dealer with a 741BK still in stock and ordered it. Due to ship on Monday. I look forward to receiving it. Too bad that BM has ceased production of all Axis lock folders with blades longer than the Osborne's. I have the HD 13100 Hardtail and look forward to adding a large size Onslaught to the collection too.

What?

No CURRENT PRODUCTION BM Axis Lock has a blade longer than the Contego. The Osborne statement is a typo. Engage brain before posting!

That's crazy that they are now limited blade length. But it's all about productivity. Many more people carry blades at 3.5 and smaller than 4inches or bigger.

I'm on the fence with picking up a green/black G-10 version.
I have the regular and small, maybe I will add the small green/black to the collection.

Well the green black one is a limited. I like the d2 steel. I'm making some scales for mine, but I can't make new blades ;)

Yeah, I know there is only 200 made. I actually like the green/black handles. I have a limited Ares that is green/black and really like it. Too many knives fighting for my money.

I actually have a Spyderco Military and the Benchmade green/black Onslaught in my shopping cart, right now. :)
