I picked up my GSO 5 on the forums sale page last year.
I mostly bought it because all of you rave about S!K
Honestly when I first had it in my hand, I wasn't that impressed (sorry Guy).
I have carried it on all of my outings, and have managed to use it in many tasks along the way.
It has done absolutely everything I "asked" it to do, but have thought it was too heavy (thick steel).
I have thought about selling it to fund another S!K version (thinner stock). But today I will say it was the perfect knife for the situation.
There was a large tree down across the bike trail I was on. Rather than find a way around, I used the GSO 5 to chop a number of branches from the now horizontal trunk. I essentially made a tunnel through the downed tree.
Anyway, it turned out to be the perfect tool for the job today...so I just might keep it.
I may have to get the 4.5 Bushcraft version as well...does 2 knives make a collection?
