I love me some Gun Show perusing. We get it two weekends a year, and they are labeled as the biggest gun shows in our State, (New York).
I wasn't looking for any new gun acquisitions, but I still try attending them to peruse the wares. I usually pick up a Gun Show "souvenir" of some sort before I go home.
Anyhow, I was almost ready to leave, so I went back to one of the tables that had some knives I was peeking at beforehand.
This Remington 'Silver Bullet' Camp pattern pocket knife was something I was most interested in, but since it didn't have a price tag on it, I had to ask the vendor how much he was asking for it.
He stood there for a moment, while looking at the knife in question, and then answered by saying, "Sixty Dollars".
I then asked if I could handle it, him responding with "Sure!". I proceeded to open/close the blades a few times and do a visual inspection of it. That all passed with flying colors, and so I removed 60 bucks from my wallet and made finalized the transaction.
It's a new in the box, (but 28 years old), Remington 'Silver Bullet' Camp Knife. The handle scales are jigged bone with a sterling silver bullet shield.
I looked it up online when I got home, and it turns out to have been made in 1994 by the now defunct Camillus Cutlery company, (which is only a few miles from where I live).
Although I didn't know what this knife sells for nowadays, I knew that $60 was surely a steal of a deal. Well, looking them up on the "bay" internet auction site, I found out my hunch was correct... The amount I paid was definitely a bargain price!

She's almost 5" long closed and thick to boot.
In other words, she's quite the beast! I love the robust build quality it has
I guess the standard version of this knife in 1994 had jigged delrin scales and a nickel silver bullet shield.
This version was made in much lesser numbers and came with the real jigged bone scales and sterling silver bullet shield. It definitely adds a nicer touch over the base model
