Good review some comments:

- Ergo is number one reason for lovability. The knife fits and handles better than most. Would love to see it in use.

- lashing points are not for just for spears (rarely thrown by the way, but used to kill a trapped animal) but for heavy work like an axe, adze, building shelter.

- Wire cutter/choil is for barbed wire, Noticed that the magazine folks chipped the blade. Lifetime warranty...send it back

- beer opener is primarily used to pick things off a cook fire. I use the prybar to pop caps.

- hollow handle has its best use to hold sharpener or ferro rod, Secondary are for fish hooks, wire, small things. I don't know that anyone gets "taken" in the military these days but the hollow handle also balances the blade.

Mr DP just is not going to get his own TV show in Europe. But as for his pedigree in the world's war zones, he be there. and SF ODA 595 (official logo and mascot thereof) might disagree:
