I L I K E that. how about a little detail. I'm about ready to try damacus and that pattern looks great.

its 8"in OL 1 1/4"W flat ground acid etched in hot viniger the handles are bola wood which my nieghbor mike cooper gave me. i forgewelded this from apiece of crane cable i got out of a dumster from a constuction site it looked like it had been buried for several years i cleaned it up i spark tested it and did a tap test after bringing it to critical temp then quenching it work the cable broke with light taps to my surprise i think the cable has two types of steel in it as you can see from the pattern. it cuts like crazy chopped on a 4x4 post about 50 time no nicks or dent and would still shave.
 
That is one fine looking knife!! Can't wait till I can make my own damascus!!
